Aria Schipperkes and Shiba Inus is located southeast of Seattle in Washington State. We take great pride in breeding dogs that are healthy, have great dispositions, and meet the AKC standards. Our puppies are socialized with other dogs and get lots of handling by our kids before they go to their new homes.
In 1974 we purchased our first show Schip, joined Richland Kennel Club and began showing in both obedience and conformation. Since then we’ve shown Schips throughout the U.S. and British Columbia while moving every 2 1/2 years before Grant retired from the Army. Now settled in Olympia, Washington, we are members of Cascade Schipperke Club and, since 1974, the Schipperke Club of America (SCA).
All Black Ice Belgian Sheepdogs are sold on written contracts that guarantee against some known genetic conditions as well as temperament. The contracts explain exactly what the owner is responsible for during the life of the dog (including training, socialization, housing, feeding, and general basic care expectations), what the owner’s options are if the dog can no longer be a part of their home for any reason, under what conditions a dog may or may not be bred, and what role I have during the lifetime journey you have with your dog.
We breed for correct temperament and conformation and have produced over 100 homebreed champions showing in the U.S., Canada,Denmark, France, Germany and Japan. Many with dual titles in conformation, obedience and agility.
