Schipperke Breeders

Welcome to my passion and my life- Schipperkes. You will never own a Schip, they will always own you.
Surrender yourself, and you will discover the joy they bring. I love to talk about my schips, so please feel free to contact me.

We are small hobby kennel. We breed occasionally for our own wants. We do have puppies available occasionally to qualified homes. Ours dogs are health checked before breeding. We enjoy training our dogs for obedience, water
and draft work.

Winlock, WA, USA

We breed for correct temperament and conformation and have produced over 100 homebreed champions showing in the U.S., Canada,Denmark, France, Germany and Japan. Many with dual titles in conformation, obedience and agility.

Monterey County, Central Coast of California
We have since then been very involved in showing and breeding Schipperkes. We have puppies occasionally and also occasionally have adults available for placement in new homes. All of our Schips are raised in our home and well socialized – each is guaranteed for health and temperament.

Our Schipperkes are AKC registered, your assurance of the highest standard in pedigreed dogs, and guaranteed free of genetic defects. They are raised in our home and socialized from an early age to people and other animals.  They live with us, being part of our daily lives.

Owyhee is a small kennel with high expectations for its breeding program.
We show locally, mostly finish our own champions, and enjoy a number of quality pedigrees amongst our dogs.
I am currently approved to judge 16 working breeds for the AKC. More recently we have begun to add new titles to some of our dogs. Glinda is now Ch. Totempole Owyhee’s Oztentatious ROM, and Dasher is now GRAND CHAMPION Owyhee’s Dashin to EchoMtn.

My love for schipperkes began when I was very young.  Having been the daughter of a “dog show” family and growing up with our Alaskan Malamutes, I wanted a dog of my own.

All Black Ice Belgian Sheepdogs are sold on written contracts that guarantee against some known genetic conditions as well as temperament.  The contracts explain exactly what the owner is responsible for during the life of the dog (including training, socialization, housing, feeding, and general basic care expectations), what the owner’s options are if the dog can no longer be a part of their home for any reason, under what conditions a dog may or may not be bred, and what role I have during the lifetime journey you have with your dog.

Our puppies are raised in our home and are started on paper training.  They will be well-socialized.  They will have their first puppy shots done and will be de-wormed with two different wormers.  We dock the tails on our puppies unless asked to leave it intact in advance.

Middletown, New York, USA

Our first schipperke was purchased from Knotty Knoll Kennel. BISS Champion Knotty Knoll Cornerstone turned out to be foundation male for Delamer Kennel, he was shown by Krista to Best In Specialty Show and became her first Multiple Group Placer at age 16. Soon followed 3 foundation bitches, all Best In specialty winners, one of them BISS Knotty Knoll Lerina went on to win breed at nationals.

In 1974 we purchased our first show Schip, joined Richland Kennel Club and began showing in both obedience and conformation. Since then we’ve shown Schips throughout the U.S. and British Columbia while moving every 2 1/2 years before Grant retired from the Army. Now settled in Olympia, Washington, we are members of Cascade Schipperke Club and, since 1974, the Schipperke Club of America (SCA).

Aria Schipperkes and Shiba Inus is located southeast of Seattle in Washington State. We take great pride in breeding dogs that are healthy, have great dispositions, and meet the AKC standards.  Our puppies are socialized with other dogs and get lots of handling by our kids before they go to their new homes.

Mardeck is located in Canada near Brockville, Ontario. Our top goal is always to produce Schipperkes that are capable of becoming life long family members. If they are also well structured both aesthetically and mechanically, we feel we have been successful as breedersbreeding program is based on the concept that while we strive to produce dogs that meet the standards accepted by the AKC and CKC, Mardeck Schipperkes must first and foremost be physically and mentally sound and healthy.

I got my first schipperke in 1993 and have finished five schips as champions in five years, two of which I bred out of my first litter of schips. I’m a member of the Marshfield Area Kennel Club which I’ve been since 1989. My goals are to breed dogs that I would want as a pet, and that will do well in conformation, obedience, agility, and what each breed was bred for. And to breed for healthy, good temperaments, sound, pretty, and as close to the standard for each breed as I can.

Prunedale, CA, United States

My husband Terry and I obtained our first Schipperke in 1987, and little did we know what we were getting into! We have since then been very involved in showing and breeding Schipperkes. We have puppies occasionally and also occasionally have adults available for placement in new homes. All of our Schips are raised in our home and well socialized – each is guaranteed for health and temperament.

All our puppies are AKC registered, born and raised in our home, dewormed regularly, well socialized, guaranteed free of genetic disorders, sold on a spay/neuter contract and current on all age-appropriate vaccinations. Breed type, intelligence and calm personalities are paramount in our pups, and through the years, many families say they have never had such calm, useful, easily trained dogs who quickly endear themselves to their family.

Pancake Bay Road, Strawberry Valley, CA, United States

Nestled in the rugged woodlands of Northern Ontario, along the shores of the Great Lake Superior is the little known place of Pancake Bay, home to Ebonorth Registered Kennels. The Schips, as they are commonly called, literally have run of the land, home and office. Schipps also have a most unique nurturing environment. In addition to the love and care provided by June and Gerald Demers each animal is socialized and loving spoiled.
